In service with the French Air Force since 2006, the Rafale has proven itself in battle in Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom), Libya (Operation Harmattan) and more recently in the fight against terrorism in the Sahel-Saharan strip (Operation Serval), as well as in Iraq and Syria from Jordan and the United Arab Emirates (Operation Chammal).
The Rafale has also been exported to Egypt, Qatar and India.
This livery was affixed during the 2018 presentation season. This presentation season was led by Captain Nativel (pilot at the Rafale Transformation Squadron ETR 3/4 Aquitaine) under the direction of Captain Martinez (Rafale Solo Display Presenter 2016/2017 and coach 2018/2019).
The RSD team obtained, during the Royal International Air Tatoo (RIAT 2017), the "King Hussein sword" trophy, rewarding the best flight demonstration during this air show.
