Our cap is inspired by the famous surfboard from the mythical American movie that tells the story of the Airmobile during the Vietnam War in 1979. Barnstormer wanted to pay a tribute to it with a nod to the Nung's River Surf Club.

"If I say it's safe to surf this beach, Captain, then it's safe to surf this beach!

This quote comes from the iconic scene on the beach at Napalm during which Lieutenant Colonel Bill Kilgore asked his squadron members if they would rather surf or fight. Those who chose surfing, went surfing on Kilgore boards in the midst of the bombing of the battle. Captain Benjamin L. Willard then grabbed one of these mythical boards and knocked down another soldier, allowing him to reach the boat.
