Yellow dog: What an original nickname isn't it? Did you know that he got his nickname from the colour of his work clothes but also from his ability to give orders in a noisy environment. Indeed, he is said to "bark".
The "PONEVs" (flight deck personnel), under the command of the yellow dog, are commonly called "puppies".
Before each flight manoeuvre, the yellow dog checks the platform and the back deck to ensure that the area is safe. It communicates differently with its surroundings (the pilots, the personnel under its orders or the air bridge) depending on the discretion required. In discrete operations, as radio communication is forbidden, the yellow dog's regulatory gestures replace words.
The yellow dog is thus the guarantor of the safety of the flight deck and of all the phases that constitute an "aviation manoeuvre".
The BB Black Sheep team is on deck, ready to start customising.
